The FBI's "Most Wanted Terrorists" web page does not state that Bin Laden is wanted for the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

The FBI page states: "Usama Bin Laden is wanted in connection with the August 7, 1998, bombings of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya. These attacks killed over 200 people. In addition, Bin Laden is a suspect in other terrorist attacks throughout the world."

When asked why there is no mention of 9/11 on the FBI's web page, Rex Tomb, the FBI's Chief of Investigative Publicity, is reported to have said, "The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama Bin Laden's Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11."

In the months leading up to the Septmber 11, 2001 attack, it is reported, the Taliban "outlined various ways bin Laden could be dealt with. He could be turned over to the EU, killed by the Taliban, or made available as a target for Cruise missiles." The Bush administration did not accept the Taliban's offer.

"On September 20, 2001," according to the Guardian, "the Taliban offered to hand Osama bin Laden to a neutral Islamic country for trial if the US presented them with evidence that he was responsible for the attacks on New York and Washington. The US rejected the offer."

On September 23, 2001 the BBC reported that four of the hijack "suspects" - Waleed Al Shehri, Abdulaziz Al Omari, Saeed Alghamdi, and possibly Khalid Al Midhar - were alive, and that FBI Director Robert Mueller acknowledged "the identity of several of the suicide hijackers is in doubt."

Bin Laden, in a September 28, 2001 interview with the Pakistani newspaper Ummat, is reported to have said: "I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States."

Skeptics dismiss the video tape "found in a house in Jalalabad", Afghanistan, which allegedly shows Bin Laden confessing to the September 11 attacks. In a December 20, 2001, broadcast by German TV channel Das Erste "two independent translators and an expert on oriental studies found the White House's translation not only to be inaccurate, but manipulative."

FBI Director Robert Mueller, in a speech at the Commonwealth Club on April 19, 2002, said: "In our investigation, we have not uncovered a single piece of paper - either here in the United States, or in the treasure trove of information that has turned up in Afghanistan and elsewhere - that mentioned any aspect of the September 11 plot."

The evidence against Bin Laden, promised by Secretary of State Colin Powell on September 23, 2001, has yet to be made available to the public.

Bin Laden is the "prime suspect" in the September 11 attacks, said President Bush on September 17, 2001, and he pledged to capture him "dead or alive."

On September 11, 2001, 5:20 PM, 47-story Building 7 of the World Trade Center (WTC 7) collapsed in about seven seconds. Why?

"The 9/11 Commission Report" tells us that the Mayor's Office of Emergency Management was located on the 23rd floor of WTC 7, and at 8:48 AM the Emergency Operations Center was activated, but it does not mention the collapse of WTC 7. Major news media have largely ignored this omission.

Videos of the collapse of the 47-story WTC 7, while readily available on alternative news sites, have generally not been shown to the public after September 11 by major news media. The collapse of the nine-story Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995 was repeatedly shown on television, and initially blamed on Muslim terrorists.

Dr. Steven E. Jones, a physics professor at Brigham Young University, writes: "Concluding remarks in the FEMA report on the WTC 7 collapse lend support to my arguments: The specifics of the fires in WTC 7 and how they caused the building to collapse ["official theory"] remain unknown at this time."

Scholars such as theologian Dr. David Ray Griffin, and MIT engineer Jeff King question the official version of September 11.

Prof. Jones attempted to make his point on MSNBC's "The Situation" with Tucker Carlson last November. Radio talk show host Alex Jones was also on "The Situation". Watch Alex Jones' video, and you too may want to ask why WTC7 collapsed on September 11.

The FEMA investigation of WTC7 stated: "Further research, investigation, and analyses are needed to resolve this issue." The final report from the U.S. Commerce Department's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) investigation has yet to be published.

....When the Pentagon Papers came out, thanks to the courage of Daniel Ellsberg, all my patriotic illusions were shattered. Here was the U.S. government's own account of how it had fabricated the pretext to drag our nation into the Vietnam war and how it was literally sold to the public by manipulating the media and Congress. My life was never the same after that and I've been a professional organizer since 1978, first trained by the United Farmworkers Union and then leading peace and justice organizations ever since. In 1992, I and a couple of others created the Global Network Against Weapons & Nuclear Power in Space in order to try to prevent the next round of the arms race from moving into the heavens. Today I live in Maine and travel all over the U.S. and around the world talking about how space technology now allows the U.S. to militarily control the entire planet. With space satellites now in place, the U.S. can see everything on the earth, hear everything on the earth, and ultimately target anyone or anyplace on the earth below.

The day after 9-11, I went to my world atlas to look up the Central Asian countries that I admittedly knew very little about. What I found is common knowledge these days. They have some of the largest deposits of oil and natural gas in the world in this region. Uzbekistan has the world's largest goldmine.

My Pentagon Papers experience had taught me to always ask the next question. Who? What? Why? When? How? For me, 9-11 unleashed a slew of new questions about U.S. foreign and military policy.

Five days after 9-11, I boarded a very empty airplane in Gainesville, Florida to fly to Cleveland in order to speak about space to a Rotary Club in a Republican neighborhood. While reading the Gainesville Sun newspaper on the plane, an AP story jumped out at me. The piece quoted an "unidentified" Pentagon spokesman who said, "We've been planning this war for the last three years." Of course the Pentagon spokesman was referring to the almost immediate discussion that the U.S. had to respond to 9-11 by bombing and invading Afghanistan. Memories of reading the Pentagon Papers flashed through my mind. ....

When the terrorists who commandeered the four airplanes in the Sept. 11 attacks were identified, their faces appeared in news publications all over the world.

President Bush has said he has evidence that Osama bin Laden was behind the attacks, so it would seem obvious that the FBI would include him and other suspects on its 10 most wanted fugitives Web page.

Think again.

Bin Laden is listed, but only for the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Tanzania and Kenya. There is no mention of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing or the attacks on the USS Cole in October 2000, both of which he is widely believed to have orchestrated. And forget about Sept. 11.

The reason? Fugitives on the list must be formally charged with a crime, and bin Laden is still only a suspect in the recent attacks in New York City and Washington.

"There's going to be a considerable amount of time before anyone associated with the attacks is actually charged," said Rex Tomb, who is head of the FBI's chief fugitive publicity unit and helps decide which fugitives appear on the list. "To be charged with a crime, this means we have found evidence to confirm our suspicions, and a prosecutor has said we will pursue this case in court."

Larry C. Johnson, a former CIA officer who was deputy director of the U.S. State Department Office of Counterterrorism from 1989 to 1993, said in a Sept. 12 interview conducted by Frontline that there is no concrete proof that bin Laden is responsible for the USS Cole and the 1993 WTC attacks, but bin Laden celebrates those attacks and associates himself with people who are responsible for it.

President Bush promises to reveal evidence linking bin Laden to the suicide hijackers who attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Bin Laden has applauded the attacks but denies direct involvement.

Because the list is used to attract the public's attention to a fugitive, careful consideration must take place before a decision is made, Tomb said. The FBI evaluates if publicity will help or hinder the search for a suspect.

The top 10 list began in 1950 from a suggestion by a reporter from the International News Service, the predecessor of the United Press International, who wanted to know the names and descriptions of the toughest cases the FBI was trying to solve. Because of its appeal and the publicity generated by the creation of the list, former director J. Edgar Hoover implemented the 10 most wanted fugitives program.

The average length of time a fugitive remains on the list is one year, and of the 466 fugitives who have been on the list, 139 have been caught as a direct result of citizen participation, Tomb said. Since the FBI went online, one top 10 fugitive and 13 others have been apprehended because of their presence on the Web. Tomb said the top ten list is the FBI's most popular Web page and receives 2.5 million hits per month.

Some of the more famous fugitives appearing on the list include James Earl Ray, Ted Bundy and Andrew Cunanan, the man convicted of murdering fashion designer Gianni Versace. The reward for catching a fugitive appearing on the list is $50,000. Any additional reward money is supplied by other government agencies or private groups.

Suspects on the list are not ranked, out of respect for the victims. In addition, the FBI does not want to give more importance to one suspect versus another, Tomb said.

"If you had a food chain up there, most of the public attention would be focused on just a few," Tomb said. "Victims of the crime might be resentful of the public attention, as if their fugitive doesn't seem to measure up."

Bin Laden, the second fugitive listed, is the only terrorist among the top 10. He's the only terrorist on the list because he's the only one that's been formally charged and he still remains at large. In addition, Tomb said, just because the country's consciousness is currently aimed at terrorists doesn't mean that other violent crimes that have been committed in the past should be overlooked or forgotten. These criminals should still be on the list.

Bin Laden is officially wanted for "murder of U.S. nationals outside the United States; conspiracy to murder U.S. nationals outside the United States; attack on a federal facility resulting in death."

The list also includes his vital statistics, including the fact that he is 6 feet 4 inches to 6 feet 6 inches tall and walks with a cane.

Since the government believes bin Laden is in Afghanistan, it's not likely that Americans will see his picture and then run into him at the corner store. But one expert said that raising awareness about bin Laden could lead to critical clues.

"While it seems like a remote possibility, you can't discount that the publicity might identify a (terrorist) cell that could perhaps lead to bin Laden," said Mitchell Hammer, an international negotiation professor at American University. "It's certainly not going to be a direct route."

Hammer should know. He has firsthand experience in linking publicity to another terrorist.

He and his colleagues identified links between the Unabomber's manifesto and letters that Ted Kaczynski had written to his family. Ted Kaczynski's brother David had read the manifesto in The New York Times and noticed similarities. He enlisted Hammer's expertise to identify similar characteristics between the manifesto and the letters, which eventually led to Ted Kaczynski's arrest.

But not all publicity is helpful to a case, Tomb said.

"If the FBI is one or two days behind a suspect, you don't want to put the fugitive on the list because you might scare them into hiding."

As everyone and his brother, including Jordanian intelligence, rushes in to claim a piece of the Zarqawi kill, his fellow-Afghanistan-Mujihadeen and super-star terror-meister, Osama bin Laden, fade into Not Wanted by FBI for 9/11 status, that is, the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, according to an article by Enver Masud. What?

What’s going on here? I thought that’s why Bush declared The War on Terror in the first place and went to Afghanistan to “smoke him out.” But hey, what do I know, what do we know? We only live here.

Did anybody tell Bush? Check if he’s operating on the old or new scenario.

Osama must be a wreck, wherever he is. He’s busted down to a non-entity and here’s Zarqawi coverage up the whazoo. In fact, Rex Tomb (love the name) of the FBI’s public affairs unit is said to have said, “The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama (he says Usama, I say Osama, let’s call the whole thing off), Bin Laden’s Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11.” What? No hard evidence?

Excuse me. Then, who is the Number One Suspect for 9/11? Don’t tell me you, too, think that it could be Dick Cheney and George Bush? This may be old news to you, but just a quick note here of something I'd missed about Flight 77, thanks to "Bismillah" and the RI forum, that I hope you won't miss, too.

At least among those with a mind for such things, it's fairly well-remembered that on September 10, 2001, Donald Rumsfeld made the shocking announcement that the Pentagon "couldn't track" $2.3 trillion of its transactions. "Iroquois" observes, "What's interesting to me is that he made his press release on a Monday. In DC, I always see bad news given on a Friday, usually late in the afternoon on Friday. The exception, of course, would be when someone happens to know that there is a far bigger story coming out."

And we know that Flight 77, allegedly piloted by an incompetent, made an aerobatic, spiralling descent over Washington, effecting a 270-degree turn to strike the Pentagon from a western approach at ground level. The side struck was the only one with an exterior wall hardened against attack, and was relatively empty while renovation continued.

Relatively. The unfortunate construction workers perished outside, but who were the expendables within?

From The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, December 20, 2001: "One Army office in the Pentagon lost 34 of its 65 employees in the attack. Most of those killed in the office, called Resource Services Washington, were civilian accountants, bookkeepers and budget analysts. They were at their desks when American Airlines Flight 77 struck."

The Arlington County After-Action Report noted that the "impact area included both the Navy operations center and the office complex of the National Guard and Army Reserve. It was also the end of the fiscal year and important budget information was in the damaged area." And Insight Magazine editorialized that "the Department of the Army, headed by former Enron executive Thomas White, had an excuse [for not making a full accounting]. In a shocking appeal to sentiment it says it didn't publish a "stand-alone" financial statement for 2001 because of "the loss of financial-management personnel sustained during the Sept. 11 terrorist attack."

High Crimes of State often come down to the movement of capital, and so the high criminals generally share the gray and black economics of common felons. Money is money; it's the magnitude of the heist that's different, and the means to effect and cover-up the crime. And part of the cover-up of the Pentagon heist has been the no-plane shell game, played smartly by Rumsfeld himself who "misspoke" that a "missile" had struck the Pentagon the same week Thierry Meyssen's original no-plane website was launched.

It's such disinformation that has drilled irrelevance and folly into a once potentially dangerous and angry army of authentic skeptics.

WMR has obtained a confidential "France Only" report of the French intelligence service, Direction Generale de la Securite Exterieure (DGSE), that states that the CIA and Britain's MI-6 maintained effective control of an important Al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan as late as 1995, fully two years after the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, an attack that was launched with the help of Sudanese intelligence officers loyal to Osama Bin Laden. The CIA and MI-6 permitted control of training operations at Darunta, an "Arab Afghan" base located near the camp of Osama Bin Laden and used to manufacture explosives and chemical weapons and train in their use, to pass to the control of Ibn Cheikh, a Libyan leader of Al Qaeda.

The DGSE report, dated January 9, 2001, is classified "Defense Confidential" and "National (French) Use Only" states, "Besides the Maghreb enclave, the training at Darunta, which, for approximately 2 months, mainly involved the manufacture and the use of the explosives by terrorists. This training, initially provided at the camp of Khalden, in Paktia, was transferred during 1995, on the order of Ibn Cheikh, to Darunta, in order to slide [the training] from the control of the security services of certain countries, in particular the United States and the United Kingdom."

The report continues by stating that in 1998, the training was expanded to include the use of C-4 plastic explosives and different types of detonators (electric, acid, etc.). Training also included the use of homemade explosives (like improvised explosive devices killing so many in Iraq today) and poisons such as arsenic, cyanide, gas, diamond powder, nicotine, and ricin. After Al Qaeda took control of Darunta from the CIA and MI-6, the camp was used to train Al Qaeda operatives to launch a series of deadly attacks, including the November 19, 1995 attack on the Egyptian embassy in Islamabad, the 1998 attacks on the US embassy in Nairobi, the abortive Dec. 31, 1999 "Millennium" attack on Los Angeles International Airport by Algerian Ahmed Ressam, and the attack on the USS Cole.

In 1995, James Woolsey left as CIA Director and was replaced by John Deutch. Deutch's deputy was George Tenet, who previously served in Bill Clinton's National Security Council. The National Security Adviser was Tony Lake. George Tenet The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) was chaired by Larry Combest of Lubbock, Texas and 1995 was the year Porter Goss joined the CIA oversight committee. On November 12, 2002, only a week after winning his 10th term, Combest suddenly announced his resignation from the House. Goss took over the HPSCI gavel from Combest in 1997, after serving only two years on the committee. In 1995, the Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence was Arlen Specter, a person whose fingerprints, like those of Goss, have been all over shady intelligence operations since the early 1960s. CIA intelligence analyst Michael Scheuer formed the CIA's Bin Laden Unit in 1996.

Two significant items emerge from the DGSE report. One is the fact that the CIA and MI-6 were dealing with a Libyan Al Qaeda member at the same time Libyan leader Muammar el Qaddafi had declared war on Al Qaeda. Unlike the United States, Libya issued an Interpol arrest warrant for Bin Laden on March 16, 1998. With this treasure trove of proof of U.S. (and British) support for Al Qaeda, Qaddafi had the U.S. and the neo-cons over the barrel. It is not surprising, therefore, that the Bush administration now considers Qaddafi (once branded as terrorist number one) to be a good friend.

Interpol arrest warrant for Bin Laden.

The other item is the training of Ahmed Ressam at Darunta. Bill Clinton's National Security Adviser Sandy Berger was charged with removing classified documents from the National Archives concerning the Ressam bombing plot. The question remains -- what were in these documents and did they have anything to do with the CIA's fingerprints on the Darunta camp?

A French newspaper claims a US intelligence agent met Osama bin Laden in a Gulf hospital two months before the terror attacks on New York.

Le Figaro said the meeting took place between July 4 and 14, while bin Laden was being treated for a serious kidney ailment at the American Hospital in Dubai.

During his stay at the hospital, bin Laden was visited by members of his family and the local representative of the CIA, said Le Figaro.

The newspaper claims the CIA agent later boasted to several friends that he had visited the Saudi terror mastermind who at that time was wanted for the bombings of US embassies in Africa and the attack on the destroyer Cole in Yemen.

In Dubai, he was reportedly treated by Dr Terry Callahan, a specialist in kidney ailments and male infertility.

He refused to comment.

The American Hospital in Dubai denies that bin Laden had ever been a patient.

Several sources had reported that bin Laden had a serious kidney infection. He had a mobile dialysis machine sent to his Kandahar hideout in Afghanistan in the first half of 2000, according to "authoritative sources" quoted by Le Figaro and French radio.

Recent political awareness in America has led a few into believing that President Bush was involved directly in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. The conspiracy theory is nothing new and has been propagated by French author Thierry Meyssan and the underground film "Loose Change."

Thierry Meyssan's controversial book, "9/11: The Big Lie," has been hailed a success, as it has been translated into 27 languages and can be found anywhere. The underdog appears to be the documentary "Loose Change."

Attempts made to gain financial backing to allow the release of the film in theaters nationwide have been denied. Due to its political nature, film producers won't risk their careers by releasing it, either.

Director Dylan Avery, producer Korey Rowe and graphic designer Jason Bermas are the artists responsible for the film.

The view of the Sept. 11 attacks expressed in "Loose Change" is considered by critics to be everything but loose.

The documentary revolves around three major focal points: previously planned terrorist tactics used by the military against the United States, the inconsistencies of the attacks on the Pentagon, World Trade Center and United Flight 93; and the current location and status of the documented terrorists. "Loose Change" stretches for about 80 minutes and is supplied with historical, scientific and first-hand civilian, military and professional interviews.

Contestants of the film consider its nature anti-patriotic, yet the film opens with a dedication to the lives lost on Sept. 11. Patriot is defined as one that vigorously supports his or her country - not necessarily its leader. To accuse the filmmakers of "Loose Change" of anti-patriotism would be to call every sociopolitical activist a defector of their country.

The reasoning behind the film's theory of Bush's involvement in Sept. 11 is based on an agenda focusing on a social and military reform only achievable by engaging in terrorist actions against one's country. The events in the film "V for Vendetta," in which a future government employs tactics of fear to achieve further social and military reforming endeavors, theoretically support the views suggested by "Loose Change."

While "Loose Change" may be well documented, it lacks fundamental examples supporting its claims of current applications involving sociopolitical reforms promoted by the Bush administration. Provided an objective perspective is supplied, the evidence may be apparent. President Bush decided to quit the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty, the Patriot Act and secret wire-tapping, all focusing on varying aspects of dramatically altered social and military reforms.

The film's Web site provides options for personal online viewing, as well as opportunities for local screenings.

Critical opinions of a leader could lead one to despair or glory. Regardless of whether one agrees or disagrees with the film, there is an underlying message of keeping objectivity as a priority regarding our political leaders. Every insurgent leader blinded his nation, and in opposition to such radical behavior, our goal is to balance our nation as the people of this powerful democratic system.

The Times found that at least 90 former officials in the department and the White House Office of Homeland Security now work for companies that do billions of dollars worth of business in the homeland security industry."

Plunder the wealth of said states by having your military destroy the country's infrasructure and then offer no-bid contracts to your corporate cronies to rebuild what your military destroyed. Make it obvious to your corporate cronies that they don't really need to do any actual rebuilding, they just need to make it look like they are rebuilding. Do not question the outrageous price charged by your corporate cronies.

When the public has become bored with scaremongering security alerts and is looking the other way, scale back needless security agencies and the temporary jobs they provided

Transfer your friends to new jobs in companies owned by your corporate cronies whose coffers are bursting at the seams with ill-gotten gains

Repeat until you have robbed the world blind and killed most of its inhabitants through war or starvation.

Amazingly, the Bush Ministry of Lies and Disinformation, Fox News division, allowed co-chair of Scholars for 9/11 Truth, Jim Fetzer, on the Hannity and Colmes show this evening.

From the outset, Colmes, and then the disgusting Iran-Contra criminal, guilty of facilitating the murder or thousands of innocent Nicaraguans, Oliver North, a Fox News stalwart, attempted to make it appear Fetzer is behind a nefarious effort to teach “9/11 conspiracy theories” at American universities, thus demonstrating both are ill-informed shills (or rather disinfo operatives in the employ of Rupert Murdoch and former Nixon choreographer Roger Ailes).

Even though Fetzer immediately corrected this obvious and stupid misinformation—a sickeningly transparent attempt to smear him and the entire nine eleven truth movement—text making the claim remained on the screen above the ticker during the entire segment, thus sending the intended subliminal message to viewers, many with no more than two brain cells to rub together.

Naturally, in the short period of time allotted, Jim Fetzer was only able to make a few brief points about nine eleven proper, spending nearly half his time telling the “liberal” Alan Colmes and then Ollie North he is not teaching “9/11 conspiracy theories” at universities. It appears all of this was intentional, designed to confuse the average Fox watcher, who is a deeply and probably irreversibly brainwashed neocon cheerleader.

It’s really too bad Jim Fetzer didn’t have more time, not only to tick off a good chunk of the evidence demonstrating the official version is essentially a Grimm Brothers fairy tale, but also reminding Ollie North of his various crimes against humanity and fascist conspiracies, including his documented plan to trash the Constitution and herd dissidents into concentration camps (see Peter Dale Scott’s 10-Year U.S. Strategic Plan For Detention Camps Revives Proposals From Oliver North).

For the serious researcher who has read extensively about 9/11, the real nuggets in the book are: 1) The now published opinion, by a Professor of Economics, that “there is evidence of insider trading” preceding 9/11. 2) The expository deconstruction of the 9/11 Commission which destroys any notion of “impartiality” in its shoring up of a “public myth”. 3) Careful, thorough, documentation of state-sponsored terror, & the failure of leading lights of the Left to come to grips with this reality. 4) Nafeez Ahmed’s tour de force essay, "Terrorism and Statecraft: Al-Qaeda and Western Covert Operations after the Cold War", some of his best work is in this book.

There are two members of ST911 in this volume, the rest are not affiliated, as far as I know. This book establishes a benchmark for future scholarly analysis of 9/11. It also lays a beach-head for volumes coming down the pipe; Griffin and Scott’s “9/11 And The American Empire: Intellectuals Speak Out”, and MUJCA’s 9/11 and American Empire: Christians, Jews and Muslims Speak Out.

This is highly recommended reading.
